"After 42 years of teaching I can retire, but I feel like I had 10 more years of teaching left in me," he said.
Mike Rotkin is a professor in the Community Studies Department but will be laid off in December because this major has been "suspended to save money." He is still perfectly capable of teaching yet is forced to leave his position as a professor.
This is just one example of many. How can we have high hopes for our education and for the education of the future when our best resources are being limited or exterminated?
